Candles

One of the easiest projects that has won my heart over.

Wax crystal candle.

1.  Buy a cute container {that can handle heat of course}

2.  Insert a wick the height of your container.

3. Pour in wax crystals!

In this case, we mixed pink and orange wax to make a pretty, coral color.

We love rodeos.

Spur of the moment Draper days rodeo.  Best Saturday night, ever.  There's just something about watching someone being thrown like a rag doll on a giant bull for 8 seconds, and me just cheering.. safe and sound.. on the bleachers.  It's the closest I will ever get to riding one of those, so maybe I get a little thrill from watching it.  I'll just live through those brave cowboys, and think of clever, funny names for the bulls they ride.  Ty and I came up with some pretty good ones, even though those rodeo clowns have those witty names down pat.  Oh, and mutton bustin. Don't even get me started on mutton bustin.  Cutest thing ever.  You betcha my future kids are going to be dressed all in their cowboy/cowgirl gid ups riding on the back of one of those sheep.  Pure terror will be across their face with a 90% chance of tears at the end, but a participation Laffy Taffy will make that all better.

Fishing.

-two fish caught in..

-five total hours.

-tackle box left on the back of the truck.

-resulting in: lost tackle box, right from the get go. (including fishing licenses)

-oh and the wet wipes.

-worm guts on my leg (need. wet. wipes. now.)

-broken {but cute} fishing pole.

I am now not taking Friday the 13th lightly.  That sucker will get ya.

Aquarium Adventures

We like to do this thing.. after visiting the aquarium.. where we hurry and yell an animal and try our very best to look like that animal.  Thanks to the photo booth, all this commotion is done in a rapid 3 seconds.  If this isn't quality quick thinking then I don't know what is.

Lake Powell

My love for lakes grows every time I go to Lake Powell.  It's actually fun when the lake doesn't feel like an ice bath and my lips don't turn purple every I wakeboard.  It was a very fun trip filled with lots of family -- even the great grandparents made the trip. We did the obvious lake activities like tube, surf, wakeboard, slide off the house boat slide, and we did the non obvious activities like family bingo and karaoke nights. Karaoke was by far my favorite.  That night preciously ended with my great grandparents slow dancing to my grandma's favorite song.  Time stood still. It was an amazing moment and overall it was a great trip.  I had over 3,000 pictures total to pick and choose from.  It's so hard to narrow everything down, but I tried my best!

Summer Bucket List

Every summer the Ty and I make a summer bucket list as our go to guide when we feel like there's nothing to do.  I am so excited about the new tradition we are starting this year called......... "The Summer Wall." (.. didn't know what else to call it.)  Every event we cross off our bucket list, a picture is instagrammed and hung up on the summer wall.  Very much inspired by the amazing blog A Beautiful Mess.
