Mardi Gras

Three whole days with the boyfriend.
Mardi Gras parades, holding hands, Pink Berry, the best conversations on the walks to downtown, eating all the time {good cafeteria food, what?}, catching pink beads...

Snaggin some beads.. Gettin real into it.

The most amazing crepes.
So handsome.
Mardi Gras float.. they all wore creepy masks and couldn't throw things out fast enough. So much stuff!
Coconut Chair (: (:
Yes this chair is $4,500, & yes it will be one of my first investments.

My accessories Ty got me (:
The Mardi Gras tree on his campus.

.... makes up the best weekend of my semester.

And of course happy 3 year anniversary to the most amazing boyfriend.

Best three years of my life, and many more to come.

"And I miss you more than I should, than I thought I could. I can't get my mind off of you."

Happy Tuesday

Bag of candy and cookies from the family.
Blossoming roses...
..with a pink bow...

.. and chocolate covered strawberries, from the boyfriend.
An early morning rose to start the day off right, from the boys of 3F. {6 am, that's dedication}
The cutest kisses ever, from Shanny.
After soccer, we went to Pizza Pie Cafe, and I may have over done it on the dessert.. but it's Valentine's Day so it doesn't really count. We then raced over to the movies to see The Vow. We got the last seven tickets so it was meant to be.  Oh, and front row seats too.  It was such a good Valentine's Day for having my Valentine across the country.

Valentine's

We all finally got around to our roomie pictures.  We wanted to in the fall when the leaves were changing colors.. we wanted to in the winter with cute scarves and boots.. but Valentine's Day was the event that finally made it happen.  I love my roommates.

Happy Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day Idea #2

This one is very confusing, but I promise you'll love it. It's basically like a mini scavenger hunt.. Think of it like the 12 Days of Christmas, but instead, it's the 7 Days of Valentine's.  This gift is great for long distance relationships or couples who aren't in the same place for this lovely day...

Take a weekly pill organizer. {I put decorative paper underneath each lid to jazz it up a bit}

The special Valentine will get one gift for every day of the week.  On whatever day it is, he will open the lid for that day and under each lid is a note.  This note is the "clue" and tells the special Valentine what gift he should open for the day.  {In my case, to make it more personal, I wrote a special personal note.  At the end of the note, I told him what box to open}  I filled each container with confetti and paper to make it more festive.

Each day, the Valentine will get a special take-out box filled with candy, confetti, and a fortune cookie.

In the fortune cookies are random love quotes.  On the back are "lucky numbers" that are dates significant to you and your Valentine.  {First kiss, anniversary, etc.}

 Once the fortune cookies {candy, confetti, etc.} are in the take-out boxes, close them up and individualize them somehow.  You can put a bow on one, a heart shaped candy on another.. get creative.  On one, I kissed a piece of paper and glued it to the top of the box.

Remember notes in the pill box?  They have the "clues" I was talking about earlier.  These clues tell the Valentine which box to open.  Example: "Open the box with the bow on top" or "Open the box with the candy heart".

Place everything in a box, and ship to your significant other. You can plan ahead and have it start the week before Valentine's, or it can be the gift that keeps the Valentine's spirit around for another week.  You can be the decider that.
